I got about 100 miles on my 8ba flat motor. It acts unpredictable. It can idol and temp stays at 185 on a 95 degree day. Drive down the road 2200 rpm stays @185. after about 10 miles same rpm climbs to 195 - 205 and fluctuates. every thing is new and belts are correctly tightened. Ideas?

I am wireing the charging system on AV8 and have a question. I am using an Ammeter and I need to be completely certain which wire it hooks into. I think it goes in the armature wire between the regulator and the generator. Is this correct? Thanks in advance! Walter
