What the heck is this trim plate (1938/39)?

This was in a dashboard parts lot I purchased. Never seen one, before.

1939 Deluxe grille bar (just one!)

I need a single bar, the actual sheetmetal bar, not stainless trim. I need the SECOND bar from center, toward the driver's side. Hopefully someone has a bashed-up parts grille that can sacrifice this piece. Thanks.

    1939 DeLuxe original bumper

I paid $200 a couple years ago, for this original bumper off the front of a '39 Sedan Delivery. I may have paid too much....Either way, let me know. It has some pitting, and will need rechroming for a show car. It is extremely straight, though. I have a decent pair of repops on my car, now...

Loose rear axle key '39 rearend

I did a couple searches, but did not find the info. I need. When I removed the rear drums on my '39, recently, the axle key on the driver's side rear came off with the drum. It was stuck in the groove of the drum, and intact. I've removed the drums, twice before, and this didn't happen...

    Need a '39 DeLuxe bumper

I need one decent original '39 bumper, blade only. Does not need nice chrome, just to be straight and suitable for a semi-crusty driver, at the time being. Thanks.

Drake '39 DeLuxe headlight lenses issue

Has anyone else had an issue fitting the repro lenses to their original buckets? I called and spoke with a rep. at Drake's today, and he said they are cast a little too thick at the edge, and sometimes need "grinding down". Well, I'm glad my cousin is a glazier, and has the equipment to remove...

    Crab cap meltdown...wrong rotor?

My car had a slight miss that got gradually worse, until it would barely run when hot. I narrowed it down to ignition shortly after pulling the distributor cap. The coil contact inside the cap looks like someone took a drill bit to it, and there was fine carbon powder everywhere! Also, the rotor...

    ANOTHER 6V electrical puzzle...

So, I noticed this shortly after installing a new six-volt starter solenoid on my car: I wanted to "hot wire" the engine compartment just to see if the long dormant engine would turn over, or try to start, so I ran a wire straight from the positive post of my coil to the negative post of my...

    Scored this script heater today...

Are these fairly common? I've never personally seen one with the "Ford" script embossed on the case. I had to snap it up to use in my '39. Looks like it was originally hammertoned gray, but someone painted the script half gloss black.

    Gas tank full of crud...

My original, '39 gas tank is encrusted inside with old, varnished chunks of embargo era gas. A lot of chunks. I couldn't even get it to drain completely. I pulled it, thinking I would get it boiled out, like I did with a '40 tank I had fifteen years ago. Well, nobody seems to want to do...

New outer wheel bearing problem, '40 hubs...

I have '40-up hubs, with 5 on 5.5 pattern, on the front of my '39 Tudor. Bought new bearings from MAC's, outers are Timken pn#09047. After I slide the drum onto the spindle, the outer bearings don't want to slide all the way on, to seat within the hub/drum. They act like the race is too...

    1939/40 six-blade fan

I need a stock fan to retrofit to my '46 59AB that is in my '39 Ford. Six blade, with the mounting hub, as well. Thanks.

    Oil filter canister seeping

I just recently got the 59AB running that was installed years ago in my '39 Tudor. While running, it was constantly seeping oil out from under the top of the stock oil filter canister mounted on the driver's side head. I pulled the ancient (1982 vintage) oil filter out completely, checked...

Fell in love with a '33 Vicky

Took my family to the All Ford Picnic at Bellevue Community College, today. Very spare turnout due to rainy weather, but I did manage to see a perfect '33 Victoria, and a nice '39 Tudor. Maybe I'll have my '39 Tudor roadworthy for next year's show... Here are some pics:
