Okay, I take my early hood hooks apart and plate the top. Now I need a source for the proper rivet to reassemble them. I believe they are truss head, .146 od by .750. Any ideas short of buying thousands?

Considering everything involved with finding a genie firewall, I've noticed an abundance of repos. Some have all the original holes and some don't but why are the prices all over the board? Brookeville/Pacific Industries/unknown Chinese with and without holes and that just the original style.

So you get the drums turned on your project know it will be a while till you use the brakes, what can you use to keep them from rusting that won't cause problems when you do?

I have been told that you need hydraulic drums with the hub outboard and drum inboard if your going to run wire wheels. Since my '35 rear axle came with wires, why would I need to swap rear drums if I put '48 hydraulic backing plates on with my bent spoke Kelseys?

Just wanted to confirm my '32 steering gear is '32 and not a 33-34 truck piece. I can not find a B or 18- number anywhere but the main box has a 12000 cast into it and the extension has 12040 cast into it. I am assuming these are Gimmer numbers. Anyone have an answer?

Are model A and early '32 axle shafts the same?

During a BS session recently it was brought up that no one had ever seen an early (read that non-reinforced) '32 frame that didn't have a bulge above the rear axle. I always thought the bulge was from the axle housing bottoming out. No way it came that way, Right?
