just starting to go thru a 226 H. I will be needing everything to do a rebuild, but it will not all be at once. Going to be a budget build, meaning as my budget allows I'll be buying parts. i'm taking it to the machine shop next week to see how much over it has to go.

I have a feeling JSeery has done this, but where can I get a adapter for a 3 bolt carb to a 2 bolt manifold? I am acquiring a H 226 six cylinder and am thinking of using a newer 2 BBL carb. My thinking is maybe they are more suitable for the newer gas? Just wondering...........

Okay fellows. The H 226 I went to look at just wouldn't work for me. it's a long story, anyway, I am now again looking for a good H 226 six cylinder for my 42 car. Yes, i know its not original, but I'll deal with that. I'm just south of Louisville, Ky in case someone has one close.

Will the harmonic balancer off the G 226 work on the H 226? I am looking at buying a H 226 but it doesn't have the harmonic balancer. I have the G balancer.

my 42 Fordor still has the G 226 in it. It has a bad distributor, the connector to the points springs is broken, yes it can be fixed. I am debating on going to Petronix ignition. has anyone used one of these on a six cylinder?

Someone somewhere has a bolt in independent front suspension for a 42-48 for car. It requires grinding off and removing the rivets that hold all the current front suspension parts in place. Then using the same holes all the new parts bolt right in place. Does anyone know the company??
