Did the 1917 model t touring come with a spare tire rack in the rear? Was it after market or was there one at all?

I just bought a 1930 Town car. The car has been converted to 12 volt. How do I know if it is negative or positive ground? Will it work either way or blow the fuse? The battery was not in the car.

Anybody know if there is a gasket between the transmission and the cap? I think there is the one on the back toward the universal joint but not sure if I need one on both sides. This is for a 1926 T. Thanks

I have a new to me 1917 T Touring I can't get it started. It was sitting for a few years, I have put a new set of plugs rebuilt the carburetor, new commutator, coils have a good spark! My arm is getting sore from cranking. My question is can I tow it in high gear and try to start it that way?
