    '39 wiper motor mounting.

I am trying to install an original wiper motor in my '39 CC. I believe (as I remember from my '40 sedan) there is a bracket that mounts to the under-dash (or firewall?) of which I do not have. I can not find a repop part anywhere. Would anyone know where I should look for one or, could someone...

    Spark abduction?

After getting zapped by a hot spark plug wire, as per the current poster of the "Good Spark" thread, I came to realize that plug wires are not very well insulated. I then noticed that my plug wires are all touching metal surfaces. Along with the wire loom itself, metal surfaces like the heads...

Need advice to fix rough running engine.

I need some advice on where to look now for the root cause of my engine running like a slug up hill in a sand storm. My engine is a 39' 221 V8 that's stock except for finned heads and 2X2 carbs with a "super" type intake. Fuel is supplied by a Holley electric pump and regulator set at 2.5 psi...

    Restoring a '39 hubcap.

Does anyone know of a way to separate the stainless center part of the hubcap from the painted steel part? It appears that it would be very easy to ruin the stainless piece in trying to remove it from the steel piece. The EFV8 book on 38-39 Fords say that the center piece is "pressed" on. Maybe...

    Electric fuel pump noise.

I absolutely hate the noise from my (Holley) electric fuel pump that is mounted to the rear cross member of my '39. Is there any way to muffle the noise without causing damage to the pump? I thought of perhaps using that foam rubber stuff that you can wrap around water pipes to keep from...
