    Horn value?

I have a perfectly good Ames horn that I no longer want to keep around since I no longer have a Model A. Just wondering what the value is? It has a few coats of black paint on it, but works perfectly. It was from my dads 28 A. Why I have it I can't remember as the car was sold in the 60's.

    30 coupe engine number

To start from the beginning, which will probably make this story to long, my neighbor lady told me her son in law had acquired a model A and was wondering if since I had one, if I would like to get it running for him. I told her I was no expert on them, but had learned a lot reading Ford Barn...

    Just a little note.

Being new to this forum, I have been browsing through all 1626 back pages. I just finished the last one. I sure learned a lot of stuff I didn't know about A's. I've been a mechanic for over 50 years, but you are never to old to learn new stuff. And antique autos aren't like the more modern...

    Want a luggage rack

I would like to find a luggage rack for my 29 Tudor. Preferably with extensions, as I have the rear spare. My car is far from perfect, so it doesn't have to be in the greatest of condition. Actually price is more of a consideration than condition, as long as it is all there.

    Another question about oil viscosity

Ok, as a little background, I just bought my first A just last fall. It is a 29 Tudor. I know nothing about the engine, except I did clean the pan and valve chamber, and it starts and runs really good with no smoke, and I don't think it has any really bad noises. I have not been around an A...

loading "A" on a tilt bed hauler

So, I have Hagerty insurance with the tow option, and am figuring that the local yocal that will come to load my car (a 29 Tudor) won't know the proper place to hook the chains to pull it on the truck. Since it is a steep climb to load onto those tilt trucks, where should I make SURE they pull...

drain holes in doors and body

Even though I don't take any of my classics out in the rain if I can help it, I do know where the drain holes are, and make sure they are open on my 64 Ranchero, and my 65 Mustang, but I haven't yet looked specifically for them on the 29 Tudor. Since it seems to get harder every day to crawl...

    Finding local A people

I am quite new to this forum, so would like to tell you a few thing about myself. I am old, as my 75th Bday will be on St pats day. I feel old in my bones, but not in my mind. I have been a mechanic all my life. I went to school for diesel farm tractor, but didn't work as that for long, and...

Oil viscosity (weight) for model A

So from reading old posts I gather that people use most everything from 10w30 to 20w50, and everything in-between, with some even opting to use non detergent. I personally believe that non detergent is not for internal combustion engines but I am not here to argue that point. My concern is the...
