I have a 221 and crank is shot. I have a 239 crank with the same rear seal area, but it doesn't fit the block. What all needs to be done to use the 239? Is it practical?

I am restoring a 55 F 100 with a 239 ohv. What color should the engine be? It looks like it was yellow, but I have never seen any Ford engine in yellow. Are the valve covers black?
