    Abel started needed

I haven't been on FordBarn for several years, at least not to post, but I've returned. A friend in my "A" club isn't computer-savvy, so I'm posting this request for him. He has an early Tudor and needs a working Abel starter. He's bought a couple starters only to find out that they have the 5/8"...

Model B crank in Model A

My Roadster engine is at Schwalms being rebuilt. They notified me yesterday that the crankshaft is out of a Model B! It's counterbalanced. Does anyone have any experience with having a Model B crank in a Model A engine? Are there disadvantages or advantages? I don't understand why anybody in...

    '31 Driver Side Fender

Need to replace restored drver side fender that's on my late '31 Dlxe Tudor, I believe my driver side fender is a pre-1960 after market replacement, does not match passenger side front edge curvature. If photos uploaded see differences. Thanks!

    Henrietta out of hiding

It's been a while since I posted something, thought I'd get back on fordbarn and share a few photos. I wrote a brief story about my 1931 Deluxe Tudor that I found on eBay on a Friday in March, 2007 and purchased the next day. I got the car running a month after the purchase and then licensed...

    original or reproduction hood latch??

Hopefully the two photos will post. I believe that the hood latch shown in the photo is an old reproduction, but want to be sure I'm correct. One photo shows the underside of the hook tip which is shaped like a "V" and rather sharp. My understanding of what the original hook tips look like is...

Engine/Frame numbers .. possible stamping goof or ...?

My Deluxe Tudor is being restoring and the body came off a couple weeks ago. The frame number and engine number don't agree, but an interesting take on this is that the two numbers use the same numerals except two which are out of sequence and leave me wondering if the guy doing the stamping on...

    Deluxe 55-B w/ re-stamped firewall photo

Here's a photo of the firewall in my Deluxe 55-B that shows the re-stamped ribs, the indent, and the patch/weld where the '30 hole was for the gas line and fuel sediment bowl. Thanks again for helping me on this!

    Late '31 firewall rib altered?

It's been a long time since I've posted much less uploaded a photo. I hope the photo upload is successful, I'll try again if it fails. I'm restoring my late '31 Deluxe Tudor and noticed that one of the firewall ribs looks odd, a portion of it looks as though it was flattened out near its end...
