I'm in the process of replacing all the door and window seals on the '55 Merc and have run into a snag. Being a 1 year only part, nobody repops the roof rail seals. They insert into the roof rails above the side windows and extend from above the vent windows to the upper corners of the quarter...

Got a bent one, don't want to buy a whole set just to replace it. '55 Merc 292. It has the skinny, solid pushrods. Any help appreciated.

I need a set of new front drums for my '55 Merc, 5 on 5" x 11", 2 1/2" shoes. Evidently '55/'56 Merc drums are made of unobtainium. I can get drums of the proper diameter and width for a '55/'56 Ford but they have a 5 on 4 1/2" bolt pattern. So my question is have any of you guys had drums...

Anybody know what size clutch head screwdriver bit fits the screws that hold the door latch striker plate to the pillar? Mine are kinda buggered up from POs using regular screw drivers on 'em. I can't get 'em tight enough to keep 'em from shifting. '55 Merc, Ford is likely the same.

Greetings Gents, I finally got the horns on the '55 Merc to work...sort of. Had a bad relay, probably the original, and one bad horn. I replaced the relay and both horns and finally got the horn button to ground the relay. My question is shouldn't the horn blow when I depress the horn ring...

Anybody dealt with Lares Mfg. (or anybody else) on s box rebuild? If so did you send them the box with the steering wheel shaft still attached or did you have to disassemble the box to separate the shaft from the worm gear?

This is embarrassing; I've done this before but it was 40+ years ago and I can't remember. When inserting the rollers into the channel do you retract the spring so that the rounded edge of the channel sits between the spring and the molded flange on the roller?
