Does any one make the old original style split valve guides out of steel or is cast the only way you can get them? I have seen them for a modern style valve setup, but none out of steel that are split for original style valves.

I am putting together a Model A motor that will run a 6.1 - 6.8 iron high compression head with a copper head gasket. What is the max out of flat on the block before it needs to be cut?

I have tested a set of 185G springs and they are 85# @ 2.00" install height. I have not been able to find the coil bind number. Anyone know what it is for the 185G and stock springs?
