Removed the fuel line from my Zenith and noticed the brass ferrule was even with the end of the fuel line. What is the secret putting on another ferrule 1/8th inch from the end and compressing it sufficiently to stay in place? Thanks

Is this what I think it is? The photo shows the only place on the head where this is present. I understand that for every stud you are able to remove from the block you snap 2 off at the block surface.....FYI the car does not suffer from overheating....Thanks
