Looking for any input from someone who has installed a 6 V starter in their 12V vehicle. What changes/parts were made, what issues have you encountered since installing,how is it working? The reason I’m considering changing is I want my motor to spin over faster.

Have a 56 f100 with o/d transmission for 35+ yrs and it does not have a cross member for a rear transmission mounting pad. The o/d unit has a cast in pad but I don't see any way a mount can be installed. Did they come from the factory with no rear mounting pad? I've driven it this way for 35+...

For some reason my O/D now kicks in at about 22mph instead of the 28mph area, just started. Have the above heads and believe they are off a 312 however they have a freeze plug on each end and was wondering if they are more preferable then the heads without the freeze plugs. My power steering box input seal is leaking fluid and want to know if I remove the snap ring holding the seal in, start the engine, turn the wheel, will the pressure in the box blow out the seal?
