1939 Mercury convertible. Common parts with a sedan.

Hi guys. Long time, no post.... I have a 1939 Mercury with a reasonable body but otherwise completely "run down", it needs EVERYTHING done. I decided my best bet was to buy a reasonable sedan to use for parts, and I found a very good one which I am about to get. Basic question is: How much...

1929 Ford Station Wagon in need of seats

Hi guys! I am about to purchase a 1929 Woody, a 4 door station wagon, which is basically a very good older restoration, but for some reason I don't understand (and neither does the son of the owner) there is no rear seats for it, only the front one. I am not sure but I don't believe there is any...

    1957 Thunderbird dash pad reccomendation

Hi everybody, and merry Christmas. Santa brought me a one owner 1957 Thunderbird with about 40,000 original miles. A great original car who's biggest sin was that it had a color change, from yellow (Inca gold?) to a bright orange. It is very complete and still has it's original interior, in...

    Tire pump restoration

I have a couple of air pumps that need restoration, but they are mostly nice to start with, even with good wood handles and rods.... what I need is really the hose with the tire fitting or valve and the clips to tighten the hose to the pump and valve, and also the leather seal, but the vendors I...

Fan belt for a 1922-23 T... which looks more authentic?

Sorry for the rather simple question but I searched and browsed the forum with no luck... What is the correct type of fan belt used on 1922-23? Is this a correct horn for my 1923 model T?

A friend of mine tells me my horn might not be correct... but I want to ask the experts. It does look different to what Macs has on their catalog as a Model T electric horn, but I have seen some at ebay that would seem to indicate mine may be correct... so, can anybody tell me if what I have is...

Normal compression on a T... high altitude makes a difference?

Hi: Today we checked compression on my 1923 model T. Pistons 1 and 2 showed 40 lbs both cold or hot, while pistons 3 and 4 showed 35 pounds cold and 40 hot. Is this normal? I live at an altitude of 1.5 miles, if that makes any difference. Thanks! Victor

I am trying to complete a set of tools (not necesarily with the absolutely correct marks but essentially the correct tools)... what you see in the pics is what I got right now, and an air pump, which is being restored right now and not in the pics. I know that I am missing at least the oiler...
