I didn't go this year to the big event ,just because in my opinion it has gotten so massive that it takes a hell of alot of patience, and mind prep and having a good running car, A lot more newer cars and not as much of the older flatheads.

Wanted to try to get my taillights brighter, ordered some LEDs from NAPA.Put in and no flash,on turn signals. Took back out. Put 1157s back in Now i started truck and no charge on battery. Usually, the amp gauge would move then come back to middle, now just stays ... battery was at full charge...

Just a reminder... something always over looked is to check your lug nuts periodically, had an issue last weekend. driving around 55 started feeling vibration thought it was driveshaft since i only have 300 miles on all new truck im starting to learn about the truck, every one of mine drive...

i have just put 100 miles on the new engine and trans... So far right off the get go she runs real strong, up hill pulls, idles real nice and no gas fumes from exhaust, very happy with results so far..my questions being ? What would be the procedure for what to do first.. do i time then set...

Well after 10 long years in spare time it took me to do a frame off. The new Flathead i put in sounds awesome,great pull and wow factor! Very happy with results and thanks to all people on this site for helping me.Ken

Happy Camper... Got 8BA heads on from fellow in Cali on CL. Very nice just had machinist take .020 off bottom, noticed that all around combustion area was radiused for better flow? Needless to say, when i pulled on to Clyde Rd., for a test hit she has a lot more power than the previous heads...

Feeling bummed out... took out truck yesterday started up sounds awesome after rebuild, no leaks started warming up and noticed it bleeding green from the area in pic about an inch from head bolt and kiddy corner from the the stamped A. Pretty pissed ... didnt leak before rebuild.i know...

Finally got enough money together to get the rest of the parts to put back together and reinstall. This truck is nickel and dimeing me to death! Ill will update on start up .All new rebuilt engine and trans. Thanks to all the suppliers out there for this project 2nd time around..

Changed diameters,machined on CNC mill 6 tapped holes. PM if you need #s.

Got motor all assembled today... a few bumps, but went smooth. Now ready for paint.

Having a hard time getting the original spiral groove spacer off and the new solid spacer is loose. Does the solid spacer compress when the front pulley is mounted? other wise it would spin on the crank.

Got the motor on the stand today, rebuilder did an excellent job,couldn't be happier. Getting all supplies together for assembly, got my cousin(flathead guru) to help guide me. He has lent me all the top rebulders book for all aspects of the rebuild. lot that i've learned. Very interesting...

Got the call yesterday the motor is done,so it went to machine shop to check out today.. Tried to keep it a secret but pulled motor an trans around Christmas, opened up the motor the top end was shot no compression in a couple of cylinders. I did everything i could not to rip all that out . But...

I think im going to downsize from the 11 inch clutch in the truck,3 Speed Light Duty,when i got the motor that clutch came with it. I have a real nice pedal, but a little stiff,well my legs get a little tired, so i was thinking a 10 inch clutch. I have both discs on the bench( 10,11) not much...
