    48 Ford windshield wiper issue

The control knob is increasing hard to turn on and off. I don't want to take the wiper motor unit down for close inspection because of the difficulty working under the dash for an 81 year old. Youtube shows disconnecting the vacuum hose under the hood and partly filling a small container with...

I managed to bring up the auction results but am unable to attach a link to Fordbarn showing the winning bid for each unit. I'm thinking the prices paid were on the low side but the market speaks....Some tekkie will be able to post these results and chew gum at the same time.....Thanks in...

    Walt Dupont Gardiner Maine.

A budding flathead rebuilder in Ma. was asking about what ever happened to Walt's fathead rebulding equipment. I don't remember that subject ever being covered on the Barn. Some of the regulars here may have some insight. He was a wealth of info for us and it was sad to see him fade away...Bill.

    1940 Ford headlamp buckets

Question, are the headlamp buckets L/R the same? Are the "pods" that hold the sealedbeams against the bucket the same L/R? I'm talking about the pod that holds the headlamp adjusters to be clear.1940 Ford DLX.

    Goldenrod Garage, Freeport Maine

http://www.goldenrod-garage.com/ Don't know if this has been covered in an earlier post but apparently Neil Martin died around the end of October. The Goldenrod Garage was a "Must Stop" for any gearhead who passed thru Freeport Maine. I would drop my wife off at the outlet malls there and tell...

    Gas tank '48 Ford wagon.

Just to be clear are the gas tanks the same for a wagon as for a pasenger car? My gastank started leaking today. At the seam, I think after filling it. Drained 7 gallons off it and it stopped leaking. 72 years old doubt there is any recalls/warranty! Any fitment issues similar to the 38/40...

    EBAY search for early V8's

Not long ago when I would search ebay for early V8s I would go to "Ford Other". Normally there would be 7/8 pages under that heading. Now there are barely two. Is there another heading now more commonly used or are there just not the volume of V8s for sale? Just wondering.. Bill
