How far do you press the impeller on from the fan end of the shaft? one source says 8.455' or 29/64" from the back of the impeller to end of shaft. another source says 8 3/8: from the back of the impeller to end of shaft. maybe it's with the thrust washer on? need advice:confused:

I have a re occuring problem with my wiper arm, it keeps falling off after a short time. It,s a vacuum wiper, I tried several reproduction arms that arm suppose to be of good quility and correct for the car. but when I turn the wiper on with a wet windshield, It's good for maybe a 10-15 swipes...
