Is there problems using these early style oil pumps if they are in good condition?

Hi, Is there a gasket between the oil pump housing and cover on a 50# long style pump?. Also does any one have a source for the rivet installed in the oil pump drive gear and impeller shaft?. Thanks, Randy/In.

I removed these pistons from a 1935 engine that I plan on rebuilding. I have never seen these type with the piston pin retained by a circlip in the connecting rod bushing. I am wandering if this was common? Randy
