I overhauled the 3 speed 1946 p/u box with new bearings and second gear and synchro cones etc. All looked snazzy. What could be causing the noise? It occurs only if I lean on the gear lever when driving in top. Any ideas anyone? Thanks Kevin

Hi All, I'm curious about those exhaust cross over ports in the intake maniforld. What would happen if i blanked them off? Would the engine run hotter? Would it effect the fuel mixture? What if I simply blanked off only one port? Any ideas would be appreciated. Regards Kevin

Hi gang.. I've decided replace the cam bearings since the engine is apart. I noticed that the old front bearing closest to the timing cover has two semi circular notches 180° apart cut into the fwd edge. Any ideas why? Should I do the same to my new bearing? Regards Kevin
