Is there a modern part number that is available from bearing shops for the rear axle grease seal in the hub? The original # is A-1175. Just hoping there is a modern version available quickly. Yea, I know there doesn't seem to be anything that happens quickly on these cars. thanks roughrider

The brake shoes on my '31 coupe have worn holes for the rivets, 0.166 inch. But the only brass rivets I can find are 0.142 inch shaft diameter. Does anyone make an oversize rivet with the proper head diameter, approx 9/32 inch? thanks

I am rebuilding my original lamps and don't know if the lens goes next to the rim and then the gasket, followed by the spring clips or some other way. I seem to be installing the clips the wrong way as they don't allow the rim fully seat against the lamp far enough to allow the screw to go in...

Working on my 31 coupe and noticed the outer front wheel bearing race is rotating in the hub. I assume that is not good, how do I fix it? Any special tools needed? Thanks

On my 31 coupe I used a 5/8 O.D. MK Morse MK 10 hole saw and carefully drilled and removed the studs (didn't go to deep). My front hubs just dropped out , but the rear hubs are really tight in the drums. Do they need a press to push them out? Any special precautions? I am reusing the hubs on new...

I replaced the head on my '31 and when I put the distributor back in, it won't fully go in leaving 0.090 in. gap between the top of the head and bottom of the distributor. The guide pin lines up and starts, slot on the shaft lines up ok (I know it's offset), but it just won't go down any...

Yes, while replacing the head,broke the water outlet (paper gasket) on a 31 coupe. Are there any of the repro outlets to avoid? She been asleep since 1966, it's time to wake up! Also the one on it was 5 3/8 tall, the catalogs prescribe a 6 inch, does it matter? Thanks.
