Is there any easy way to figure out if an old car was recently repainted with lacquer, enamel or urethane?

I am wondering if any later model front disc brake setup will easily bolt on to the 56 T-birds. I heard that some intermediates like a Torino may work. I have a disc brake 71 Montego junk car. Does anyone know if I can transpose those brakes on to my 56 T-Bird?

Here is a hard to find item. The one year only EBU-8508-A 1954 239 water pump. This one is used but it turns freely but not loose. Selling it as a core because I don't know how good it is. $20 plus shipping. Keep in mind that lately the shipping costs are as expensive as the part a lot of times.

This is an exhaust spacer for the FE (I think). I don't remember if it came off of my 390 or 428. But its 1 1/2 inches thick, 3 1/4 inches between bolt holes and has a 2 1/8 inch hole for the exhaust. Its in excellent condition but its used. $20 shipped. PM me or email wildmandon@hotmail.com
