Will the rear fenders from a 1947 Ford 4 Door fit a 2 Door or Coupe?

Here is a 1/2 scale model of a 226 H series 6 that I worked on during the long cold winter in Wisconsin. The model does not operate and was built with hand tools. Next winter I will build the twin carbs, wires, bell housing, transmission and other fitments.

Does anybody know if you can remove the oil filter assembly from a 226 H series and block up the mount area and not run a filter?
