Will the later ('53) overdrive 3-speed bolt up to the earlier motor('40)? If so how much modification is need in the mounting department? If all of that is good, how do those trannys work? Are they manually or electrically actuated? Thanks!

What's the best/easiest technique for removing the old rubber connectors an replacing them with new ones. The existing ones just slide apart, but the metal insert is crimped on. How do I get that metal end off without damaging the rod? Thanks!
