Flatheads breaking off engine stands and falling.

Just an ole wive's tale. If they broke off at the bellhousing because of a stand, there would be pics of them broken and on the ground beside the stand.

    Ideal 16" wheel

Width depends on stance and front height. Rears are not as important, but if you don't get the fronts right, it looks like a turd. I run 8/s and 6/s on my 28 pickup, but it is modified, so my tracks are different to stock. I would guess a stock A would look good with 6 and 5 and lowered...

    Clear Coat over Lacquer

I have done several cars in lacquer colour then 2K cleared over. No problems even years later. As this is obviously not recommended by suppliers, my own judgment was to leave the lacquer for an hour to dry a bit before proceeding with 2K over in the usual way.

    Fordson Thames ET6 year model

gday Shaun I have just bought an engine out of one of these . It is complete otherwise if you need any parts and in very good condition. Located in Molong NSW. They ran a 221 21 stud pilot V8 . I am guessing they ran about the same years as the Ford Pilot car, 47 to 51.
