    Spring shackel question

I've installed new spring shackels front and rear. I've noticed the bolts on all go well past the cotter key hole. If I install the castle nut up snug so as not to bind the up and down movement of the shackel the cotter key doesn't engage the nut as it should to keep it from turning. Are the...

    rear spring issue

Speedo drive won't mount to torque tube

Well, I've tried mounting my speedo drive to my torque tube but the bolts won't snug down. I tried longer bolts and the same thing won't snug down. The bolt will thread in just fine but the threads on the tube must be worn enough to let it slip when snugging it up. Can I drill out the holes and...

installing new tie rod and ends help

I'm installing a new tie rod and ends on my Model A. I'm using the teflon buttons and spring hardware kit. Is there a trick to getting the tie rod ends to "snap" over the metal ball on the steering linkage? I've never done this before so I'm in virgin territory with the tie rod installation.

    Re-building my transmission

I'm rebuilding a trans I got for my 28 RPU project. I know the bearing on the main shaft needs pressed on but does the bearing on the main drive gear press on? I removed the snap ring and collar on the one that came out of the ****** and I was able to pull the bearing off by hand.
