9" rear in a jailbar truck

I cut the nipple down, drilled and tapped it to 1/8" NPT so I could put the stock breather in. I really don't want to run a hose up under the bed. Washer is a crush washer to seal the bolt...

9" rear in a jailbar truck

Sorry, I was not able to copy and paste from my post over on FTE. It lets me include a link to the pic though. Block drilled out. Adapters are Edelman #258340...

9" rear in a jailbar truck

Gary, my F3 has 1/4" brake lines and the 72 F250 Dana 60 has 3/16 lines to the wheel cylinders. I kept it that way by modifying my Tee fitting and using two adapters. Been working trouble free for many years and yes it stops well. Here's the stock hose and block. The long nipple is from the...

9" rear in a jailbar truck

Sounds like a good plan to me. Safer for you and yours and that truck you built is the only one like it on the planet. Axle failure at 70 MPH would be bad.

    Need help identifying these tools

Thanks for the replies all. So it is a window sprayer. My buddy that gave me this stuff thought so. He said he could remember the service station guy having them in his pocket. The "multi tool" looks like it was well used so it must have been handy. It reminds me of some of the bicycle tools...

    Need help identifying these tools

Thanks for the reply signsup, I'll take a look and maybe just try to see if it works on my flathead. I see a lot of this stuff on eBay cheap. I never figured out what some of it even is. I just posted it in the Swap meet section. I may use the vacuum gauge but the rest will get probably get...

Misc Ford and non Ford tools, and 41 Ford Deluxe Reference Book

Items pictured $10 each plus shipping or just make an offer. I have to put a price up. I'd hate to see this stuff end up in the dump. I will try to test the timing light before selling it if anyone shows interest. I don't know if the brass or stainless cylinders work. I can provide more pics and...

Here's the last wrench. No markings on it that I can find. The rubber hose on the vacuum gauge is still in good condition. Maybe I'll use it if no one is interested. The wire on the timing light is kind of stiff but it still flexes and didn't crack. I'm just hoping you guys may have more...

Not sure what attenuator wire is for or what the other item is at all. Just happened to be in the box of stuff. I have one more "multi wrench" tool I forgot to get a picture of. I'll be back.

I'm still trying. Here's a valve spring compressor I'm guessing.

    Need help identifying these tools

A friend in his 70's is getting rid of stuff and gave me these. He got them from his grandfather. He worked at a Ford dealership as a mechanic I'm told. He also had a 40 or 41 Ford that he remembers grandpa having. Neither of us want this stuff to end up in the dump so hopefully the Ford Barn...

Used pistons, does anyone save them?

When I first started working at a Caterpillar dealership we had official Caterpillar guides for reusability of parts. Engines and transmissions, hydraulic pumps, differentials, all of it basically. Even transmission discs and plates. If it checked out, you reused it and it was all documented...

For the guys who like 'em rough

Looked like a fun trail. Those old flat fenders definitely don't ride as smooth as a long travel coil sprung rig. Still super cool though. Thanks for posting.

Walt Dupont lectures on V8 Oiling

I just watched them. Thanks for bringing them back. I never knew the man but, he answered some questions and fixed me up with some parts a while back. It is nice to see what he looked like and hear his voice. MUCH better than the keyboard communication I had back then.

    Should I do it?

If it's 8 lug, it's probably an F2 or F3 with the 8 foot Express bed. Those running boards, fenders and bed (or bed parts) are NOT reproduced and worth something even if a bit beat up. I see some good trim and I already see some parts I could use for my 52 F3. Please don't scrap it. There are...

What do you use for elec. contact cleaner

Deoxit D5 might work for you. Recommended to me by HAM radio and tube amplifier guys. Not cheap for what you get but it works great for me.
