I am having trouble with my distributor not turning with hand cranking the engine. I think the distributor gear that is being driven by the cam gear and that is not meshing. I can turn the distributor shaft by rotating the rotor and see the shaft turn, but if I hand rank engine the distributor...

Does anyone know how I can check and if needed adjust the valves on my Model A with the engine in the car and the heads attached. Everywhere I look the information shows the head off, so valves and pistons exposed so you know what the position of the valves.

I have an issue with the rotor not turning while engine is cranking by starter. I cannot turn the rotor by hand either. Any ideas? I am trying to remove the distrib. now but it is hard to remove. thanks!!
