    Rear end pre load confusion

Quoted from Mr. Tom Endy elsewhere on the Barn… The two axle housings should be bolted to the banjo with the carrier inside with out any banjo gaskets. With the rear spring removed from the car, how should I disassemble the spring pack. Big C clamps, remove center bolt/shackles, slowly back off clamps? I don't want to hurt anything (or anyone...;)). Thanks in advance.

I'll exchange pics if anyone's interested. This is an original Ford wheel, so I'd like the same in return.

My turn to share; rebuild sheet/receipt

Bought a '31 A Coupe a couple months back and it came with quite a story. Owner said he started his A project with a neighbor, but the neighbor had to bow out when he had his first child...then second child. Project came to a halt - 32 years ago! And this was only a year or so into the...

I've searched here and come up short; could anyone explain the significance of Model A VIN tag numbers? Lots of info about frame/engine dates, but what is the disjointed number system and how can you track the VIN to the serial #'s?
