If you have a hairline crack in top of distributor body and replace upper bearing/bushing what problem would crack cause? Wouldn't the bearing prevent the crack from opening any further and causing a wobble? And yes I have one with a crack. :D

Just wondered if someone had an innovative fix. I've oiled it but the pocket through the head seems to have a ton or rust in it. This is the second one, distributor, to do this. I know I don't run it enough or the heat would dissipate the moisture. No head gasket leak. Figure to take the head...
