    Extra Parts & Pieces.

I replaced my 47s transmission link rod seals a month ago, went off without a hitch, resealed the side plate, and my annoying leak was cured, tight as a drum. Yesterday while cleaning my bench I came across a small pin tapered on each end, son of a biscuit eater, I left the pin that goes in the...

    1947 brake drum

I bought new drums from MAC's the spindle mounts to the outside, I have a chunk of change in these things at this point with having the hubs switched over, and a few other challenges with what should have been a pretty straight forward easy job. The drum will not fit over the new brake pads...

jamming nine snakes in a bean can.

Holy crap, I hope I never have to do this again, it was a wrestling match. I thought I had it whipped at this point, yeah right. It looked like it could explode at any minute. It was a relief to get the distributor bail thrown over it before someone lost an eye.

On the forward end of the block, drivers side is a petcock, what is it for, pic below. On the passenger side looks like a heater hose connection, it has a handy same size bolt crammed in it at the moment as I have the block full of Evaporust, soaking. The car also had the T insert in the...

    47 front brakes

I have a stuck front brake drum, I'm pretty sure the brakes need backed off, I have tried the two 11/16 adjustment bolts that have the spring under them, I can get about a turn out of them and then it gets pretty solid feeling. Any suggestions would be welcomed.

    1947 Sedan, The Toad

I picked up this 1947 a while back, it was customized in 1968 by a guy with a paint shop in Beloit Kansas, it was in a garage under a tarp for years then sold four years ago, where it sat in an old warehouse. The interior trim and dash were painted candy apple red then striped with a torch and...

    1947 oil filter assembly question

I pulled the oil filter assembly on my recently purchased 47, that bad boy had a coal nugget in each of the bottom indentions of the canister, looked like another year or two and it would have turned into a diamond, lol. I pulled the line that runs from the side of the oil filter assembly to the...
