Where could one find a spring to fit inside my radiator hose?

Tried to install new 900 dollar rad in my stock 36. Rad top outlets point straight back, not down. About 45 degrees off. Any made up hose will need an over 90 degree bend. (about 110 degree) Any ideas? I think they sent me a wrong radiator.

My stock 36 has a 6 volt neg. ground alternator. Driving down the road, the ampmeter acts normal. When I switch on the electric fan or the headlights, the ampmeter goes crazy. I've had the alternator for a year. What is my problem?

For years, my 36 has burped gas. I've replaced the carb with a new 97. had skip do the dist. and coil. Using a IH 200 condenser from NAPA. The engine is 2 years old. Still burps and smells like gas. Runs great 90% of the time.
