My 39 project has a 4.11 rear end and Id like to have a 3.78, so I pulled the 38 frame up to the shop to check the ratio in that rear end, but dang, it looks like its a 40/9 stamed on the bottom. 4.44? You don't hear thoses numbers much, Musta been a real stump puller Gary

Ive always messed with pickups and panel trucks so I have never really understood the delux vs standard thing. I understand that a 39 standard is alot like a 38 delux but whats the difference? when did it start and was it a last years model etc? How did it effect 34's 35's 36's I bet...

Where do you go to get wide 5 brake drums turned? I live out in the boonies and the local shop (that turns brake drums) looked at me like I was nuts. Can a regular machine shop that turns cranks etc do them? Gary

I had a visit from a good friend and he brought me a stud gun dent puller and slide hammer. to borrow. Its just the thing to pull the dents out of the rear corners of my 39 panel truck where the door braces block the rear access. I am tickled.
