Front wheel brake floaters (old design)

Back in April of this year I asked Ford Barners to help me locate an old design front brake floaters. I had a great response from the group, especially Purdy Swoft. Early (1940's) front brake "floater" design

I heard today, from a very reliable source, about front brake "floaters" that were available for all Fords from the Model A to until Ford shifted to hydraulic brakes. Production of these parts ceased about 30 years (?) ago. The only description I was given was the main part was shaped like...

    Ford rim fit ?

Since the I.D. of a Hayes felloe is 1/16" larger than a Ford felloe, will a Ford rim fit over a Hayes felloe? With two different types of rims on my car I could jack her up and give it a try, but it's so much easier to ask the experts on Ford Barn.

    Shipping new wheels

Does anyone know for sure how the wheel manufacturers packaged their product to ship to Ford assembly plants? After playing with re-spoking old metal felloes with old spokes, (I'm trying to get up enough nerve to use expensive new spokes) I am convinced the wheels were shipped without hubs and...

    Wood spoking a metal felloe

I've been working on a system for one person to easily re-spoke a Model T wheel with a metal felloe. I am using a modified "John Regan Wheel Press" and believe I'm making progress. I am hopeful someone out there can lead me to a film clip that shows how Henry did it. I have seen clips of how it...

    Unusual wheels

I have come in possession of two unusual wheels mixed in with a bunch of Model T wheels sold at an auction. They are a combination of a fellow and a tire rim. The ends of the tenons are covered by a metal band around the circumfrence that is riveted in place through the valve stem hole. The rim...
