maybe i'm dumb, but i don't understand how the spindle bearing can support the weight of the car when it's on top of the axle. can anyone explain please? thank you. ( been wondering about this for 40 yrs!)

any one recognize this part? it seems to go under the radiator, but does not show on the ford exploded drawing of the '46 front end. i disassembled this car 30 years ago so i'm not even sure it came off of this car! thanks for looking. :confused:

i've installed many brake lines back in the 70's & 80's using u.s.a. made parts with no problems. now i'm using off-shore tubes & fittings [all i can find] & getting lots of leaks! anyone else have this problem or is it just me?

yesterday, while installing the right front inner fender panel on my '46,i noticed what appears to be 4 factory made holes in the area next to the battery tray. 2 about 1/4" & 2 about 3/8". any one else have these? what might they be for? thanks! :confused:

i'm painting my '46 delivery & i wonder what color the interior side of the back door was from the factory. was it body color or did it match the interior color? anyone know? [mine has no paint left] thanks!

is it possible to remove /replace the square shank on '32-'37 trunk handles? i have 2 gennie handles, a '36 & a '37. 1 shank is 3/4" longer than the other & i'd like to switch them. :confused:

this thought woke me up this morning [shows that i spend WAY too much time thinking about old fords!] the frames were already painted when the motor & trans were installed. so, the paint would have been chipped when the numbers were stamped. so, were those spots...

i've been working on brakes on my old fords for many years, but this is new to me! i bought a running,driving '36 with '46-'48 brakes a few months ago. no problems. i changed the front hoses [ just because the old ones looked old] now the tee fitting at the left front leaks badly...
