Has any one heard of or seen a hood ornament on a 49 F1 pick up. My hood has holes for one but not sure if it was a lost add on or original ? Thanks for any input ........ Bob:confused:

I'm restoring a 49 F1. It's intended to be a daily driver with the original flathead v8. Just finished rebuild ( 60 over ) old distributor was froze up. Thinking electronic dist. May be more dependable. Advise and or opinion would be greatly appreciated......... Thanks Bob

I'm restoring a 49 F1, complete overhaul on engine. I was told it ran a year & a half ago. This guys pants must be on fire. Any way , went with 60 over and carb seems to be all froze up. Appears to be ford 94 holly of some sort. My question is what's the best carb to go back with ? Thanks Bob
