New Category "Well-known Member"

Well-known member
In the old Barn (old = last week!) there were I think three categories of member based upon number of posts: "New Member", "Member" and "Senior Member". I see that we have apparently picked up another category of "Well-known Member". Does anyone know the criteria for these? I've moved from "Senior" to "Well-known" and I'm not sure whether that's a plus or a minus.

And what's beyond "Well-known Member" - "Over-the-Hill Member" or something like that?

Maybe Ryan could comment for the benefit of all of us. BTW, Ryan, I know I'm not the first, and probably won't be the last, to express my appreciation and gratitude for all you do on this and the other forums. And for your prompt addressing of the PHP2Shell vulnerability.

And - another change I just noticed: we can edit the thread title now! Yippee!

This is basically how it's set up:

To be honest, I don't have a lot of interest in this kind of stuff... I mostly ignore it.

There are two different numbers on your profile:

Reaction score: every time someone reacts to one of your posts (Like, Love, Haha, and so on), you get a point. Most reactions count as +1. A few, like “Sad,” don’t add anything. It’s basically a running total of how often people found your posts worth reacting to. Likes from the old Barn came over too, so long-time members start with a head start.

Trophy points: you earn trophies automatically for hitting milestones, like your first post, 30 posts, 100 posts, getting your first likes, getting lots of likes, and so on. Each trophy is worth a set number of points, and your total is your trophy points.

To see which trophies you’ve earned and what they’re worth, click your name and choose Trophies. Trophies are checked periodically, so a new one can take a little while to show up after you hit a milestone.

It's all a bit silly to my eye... but here we are.

Thanks, Ryan. Quite straightforward, although I have to admit, I'm not going to lose any sleep over it. I'll let the "influencers" (has there ever been a more BS pseudooccupation) worry about Reactions and Trophys.
