1956 292 Y block dipstick length?

Can someone measure their 292’s dipstick. I’m sure mine is too short. The one I have is only 21” long. Oil barely shows on the tip of it after a refill of 6 quarts for an oil and filter change. I realized something was off when the my usual oil drain pan was nearly full. There was probably around 7 quarts in it. I can’t find any length measurement for a dipstick different than mine anywhere. I’ve checked with various sellers and they list ones the same length as mine or there’s no mention of a length.

Here are the measurement I have .
From the top of the cup:
To overall length 23 3/8
To the full mark 21 1/4
Tp the add oil mark 22

This is the front mount dipstick, not the side mount

Yes, mine is up front. This makes more sense. Thanks for replying!
I’m going to see if by straightening the few zigzag bends at the top of the dipstick will get me the extra 2-3/8 inches I need. I’m doubtful it will so I will need to find the right one somewhere.

It is hard to find a replacement. No repros and used ones are not around unless your lucky. The only reproductions are TBird ones, ad they are longer than the sedan. When the handle part broke off mine, I got a Tbird one and remarked and shortened it. I still have the old sedan one with the broken handle - fortunately it broke upward of the "cup" so I still could remark the new one. I still have the old one w/o the handle, from which I gave you the lengths..

I discovered my dipstick is for a ‘59 292. I was able to lengthen it by pulling the blade out of the handle just enough get the length right. I didn’t need to straighten the zigzags.
Thanks again for the measurements.
