MeWe

Long ago when we thought we were going to lose our group on the HAMB we opened a site on MeWe, have any of you used it ?

I remember, I tried it but wasn't impressed. Don't remember why. Now the only two I check are this site and the HAMB Off Topic forum.

I use MeWe much more that FB anymore. Tried to use the 52-59 group page there but got no response from anyone.

With all the crap people talk about how FB tracks and dumps ads onto its users based on what we post there, I'd have thought MeWe would be an answer for them. Most feedback I get from anyone who tries to use is
" . . . .well none of my friends use it so I don't either.. ."

MeWe has no ads and they don't track ya. It has its quirks, and because it has no filters ya just have to deal with some wackos and everyone wanting to be your friend - and both of those are easy to block or delete. It's one of the better social media platforms, IMO.

I own 3 or 4 groups on MeWe and really like it.
There is Ford Group, an old cars group, and one of mine is the NASCAR group too.

For anyone interested - here is the 52-50 Ford Group link on MeWe:

Thanks for the MeWe link a lot of great pictures are in there. Facebook suspended me for 180 days, no real reason given, but shortly after I posted a source for disc brake conversions they only stated advertising as being against community standards.

FB wants to control their own advertising & marketing, and prohibits anyone else from doing so.

For as much b*tching as a lot of people do, many just seem to keep going back to it. SMH. Guess it's that too many of us are reluctant to change?

I've not seen or heard of any ads posted by members being deleted or banned on MeWe. And they don't dump a bunch of inane ads onto us after maybe posting about something we like.

Far as I know, MeWe does not track us. But then - I use DuckDuckGo most of the time and it doesn't track either.
