I met him and shook his hand a few years ago at TROG, I was surprised how energentic and strong he is.

Where did you get the HP pumps and who makes them? I didn't know they were available for early motors.

Be VERY careful not to submerge it for an extended period of time.

Awesome from the Dollar Tree and a scrub brush, finish with a pressure washer if you have it. Laquer thinner, paint thinner, mineral spirits, Prep-sol all seem to work well also.

I have a pair like that too, made me question the specs that say iron heads are larger than aluminum.

I had one with a vertical crack between 2 cylinders, I thought that was a real odd place to crack without any others.

Where do they most commonly crack?

I've collected 21 stud parts for quite a while trying to get one good block for my 36PU. I found a wide variety of heads of all descriptions. Water pump heads for domed pistons are not common. I think they were made by Ford to use on 37-38 engines with domed pistons to allow installation in...

KD supplies it, and I've used my own. They still unscrew. Letting the engine go stone cold before removing a plug helps.

I've had those back out with the plug when removing the plug. If you use them, keep a new one around in case that happens.
