So I drove the ol girl about 15 miles friday, when i got home noticed the radiator was steaming a little and looked at the #8 head bolt and it was bubbling around it. It didn' the clamp and no washers under it so i put a few on and retorqued it. There is no water in the oil, no smoke and no...

I replaced the coil, plugs and condensor. Figured out it was fuel, removed sediment bowl, blew out the line with an air hose and seems to run great. Now i need to install my tank pickup screen. Shoud fix my problems.

QUESTIONS NEED HELP_ Long time no talk. I was having some drivability problems, I ended up buying a "new" to me rebuilt carburetor. Ran it and basally had the same problem. Under a heavy load/lugging going up hill it starts to backfire, if i left off the accelerator briefly it starts...

I check the points gap, it was way off, reset it and also set the plug gap again. Ran it around for a few miles, as it warmed up/heated up (90 degrees outside) about 15 minutes, under full throttle it would start to choke down and backfire. If i backed off the throttle it would start to run...

No kids yet but we are getting married in December. Anyone have any other ideas about running rough when hot. It started after about 40 minutes of stop and go and then going up a big hill (2nd gear type hill) pulling it pretty hard. It completely would die and i woudl have to back down the...

    OLD Optima still going......

we use them in our jeeps, they have gone down hill since they were bought out. They aren't the same quality. We've had decent lunch keeping a battery tender on them and making them last, but nothing like the older versions.

I started putting the bed on tonight, grandpa came out to help. He built the bed out of rough sawed oak from a friends woods, and used the handrails out of a convent. It has been built for over 25 years, never installed, and still looks like he just made it. Here are a few pictures.

The lifts nice, it makes life a lot easier. I've found it makes my buddy's lives easier as well! Its a challenger 10,000 versymetric lift. I used a base/clear, the brand is Nason and the color is Chrysler Black (PX8). It is one of the deepest black's I've seen. Nason is a cheaper paint but...

I tried to do it myself without buying the Casewell kit. I used vinegar, 99.9% nickel welding rod with the flux removed, salt, and a 6 volt battery charger. It started to work pretty well, but I think i was using to much current or had to much salt in the solution. With more trial and error I...

Tried to nickel plate the headlight rings, it kind of worked but not great. I realized the headlight lenses that came on the truck when we got it are wrong, but they don't look bad. I also sat the top on the truck, grandpa made it over 20 years ago. I think it will get a coat of varnish and...
