    1936 trunk lock

Does anyone out there in ford land know of someone that can repair or have parts for the lock tumbler? I need the piece that goes under the tumbler that has the little "tab" to lock the handle. I also need one pin and spring. Thx in advance. John

    Rebuilt 1936 speedometer

Totally rebuilt speedometer I had done by "Bob's Speedometer" for a 1936 car. All original face, needle, ect. One mile on odometer. I don't need it as I used another one. $1000.00 firm plus shipping. This is less than my cost. jpwrightfarm@gmail.com

    wiper arm install

Should be a simple install but I am lost on how to fasten the arm to the wiper motor. I have the motor with the hole in the shaft and the arm with the 90-degree bend on the end. I can't see how there can be any tension on the arm with the spring where it is. See pictures.

    36 Generator bearing oil/grease

I must have an older gen then. Front bearing is tapered with felt seal and rear is a bushing and I was careful to tighten the screw in "cap" for the right play. Both have the drip caps. Just wondering what weight of oil to use and how often.

    36 Generator bearing oil/grease

As per the heading what oil or grease is used for the bearings and how often? I used a good quality grease, but it didn't last (bearing got hot). The belt was not too tight. Thanks in advance and Happy New Year to everyone.

    Why this trans cover louver

Since I don't need the louver "but I need the cover" I am open for bids for the hole!!! LOL

    Why this trans cover louver

What is the purpose of this louver " top of the cover" in a 1936/5 window transmission cover? It is just above the engine bellhousing. The original floor covering would be rubber with no opening so to me this would only let in road dust or water or heat. Thanks in advance.

    Trico vacuum wiper

I am rebuilding a wiper motor for my 36-5 window. Should i be able to blow or suck through this valve "governor" no matter which way the knurled knob is turned? If not where can I get one?

Transmission & Banjo Oil Changes - A must do!

Definatly make sure the oil is GL4 rated and NOT GL5. GL5 will destroy the brass in your trany as I have experianced the cost of replacing tranys in two pieces of heavy equipement because of what was "better" oil.

    36 transmission sealed bearings

I can get sealed bearings for the input and output shafts on my 36 trans. Has anyone used these and would you remove the inner seal for extra lubrication from the trans oil? I know there is a drain hole in the front that can be plugged. I cant see any reason this won't work. There is a modern...

How to fix a dome light switch

Hope someone can use this. It's not beautiful but it's hidden. This dome light has the toggle built right in but the switch part of the mechanism was gone. Bought a micro slide switch, filed the slide round, bent the tabs down to fit over the housing, then soldered the switch on. Got a piece of...

    Wood top ribs question

On a 36/5 window is there chicken wire on across the wood ribs also? My car came with no roof just the wood slats. How wide and how long would it be? To attach the ant wire I assume the center wire would be soldered to the mesh but what about the coax braid outer?
