    USAA Bank ??

I remember a segment on 60 Minutes, probably 10 or more years ago and it was titled something like "USAA - The Biggest Bank You Have Never Heard Of." It went on to tell how great the company is, etc. I have been a member of USAA since 1965 and can confirm that it is the best company that I do...

I definitely don't want to take anything apart on this carb without talking to Carpenter. I will do that first. Thanks for all the comments.

You old guys have good ideas except I don't know what an AF meter is. Would you explain that Ol' Ron?

    new 94 carburetor gas mileage

I installed a new 94 Dennis Carpenter carburetor recently and have been very pleased with how it runs. This is a great carburetor. However, the gas mileage has been disappointing. I have a stock 1940 four door. My driving is just around town with no long trips. With my old carb I would get...

Period correct way to wrap a steering wheel?

I bought the Wheelskins for my wife's car. It was easy to put on, looks great, and feels good. I recommend looking at their website.

    Fueling a '40

I have exactly the same problem. The gas running down my fender has damaged the paint. It would be great if you get some good ideas on how to remedy this.

    1937 serial number

Thanks for the information everyone. My friend has looked on the frame and there isn't a trace of the VIN number on it and I'm sure it isn't a new frame. Capn John - What is the down side of having the DMV issue a new VIN?

    1937 serial number

I have a friend who just bought a 1937 from another state and has to go to the Highway Patrol to find the VIN or they will issue a new VIN so he can register the car. I understand it is on the left side of the frame in the engine compartment. Any information on the exact location? Thanks.

    brake light switch

I've been using a Ron Francis switch for a couple of years and it works great. It costs more but I think it is worth it. It doesn't require as much pressure for it to light up the brake lights either.

    Hardware Kits

I just had my car repainted and thought I would use the old bolts to put the fenders, etc., back on. What I had was an odd mix of bolts and decided to buy new ones from Roy. He sent me the correct bolts and I couldn't be happier with the result. Now if you look under the fenders or running...

Best place to by my window glass???

I needed to buy a window and called local places and either they said they didn't have the patterns or didn't do old cars. Finally one glass place recommended a small local shop that did street rods and antique cars. I bought the window for about $40 and installed it myself. Our cars have...
