Dealing with the heirs on '32 parts ect.

Hey tubman! The ' xtra women ' comment is easy to explain. When I was young, I spent half of my money on women and booze.... the other half of my money I just wasted!

Dealing with the heirs on '32 parts ect.

This is such an interesting subject ! First off, it comes up with many, many items, not just cars and parts. Almost any thing that is collectible. I believe that unless you are a dealer or semi dealer, quite often, what you paid for a part will probably be the most that part is ever going to...

    Gas 10% ethanol

I am not taking sides, but I can tell you this....If you punch " pure gas " into your computer, a page will come up, state by state, where you can buy real gas. One tip is that, in looking at the station's octane ratings, real regular, will show the lower octane numbers. In Wisconsin, I...

    Elkhart

A very neat stop in Elkhart, is the Vintage RV Motor-Home Hall of Fame. You can pull up their site, and check them out. They are on the Indy Turnpike. It is a really cool place. You will also be close to Auburn, Indiana. You will need days for that stop ! A.C.D. Museum, and right behind that is...

    1939 clutch replacement

You will need to jack up the car, remove the rear end as a unit, then remove the transmission. there are bolts that attach the transmission to the engine block. You will need to pull up the floor mat, put the trans in neutral, remove the floor shift lever, and disconnect the shaft of the throw...

    Americarna

My good buddy has a 1934 Lincoln..... and a 37..... and a 39.....and a 67 4 door convertible, and he's not that way. He even lets me park next to him at car shows ! He probably does look down at me though, but I think it's because I have a Standard, instead of a Deluxe....... Did I mention he...

    Found it in my shop

My Dad had a 1953 Caddy. It had Goodyear ' Double Eagle ' Tires. The tubes were like the ones above. The guys at the filling station hated it when he need a tube repaired or changed. They were supposed to be a safety feature. All this took place 57 years ago so I hope my memory serves!

1939 Truck Windshield frame Painted ??

I had the windshield in my 1939 Standard, replated about 5 years ago. The shop is located in Richmond Va. I think I paid $225. They are an average shop, that I feel, is very reasonable. They do not like to do much repair work. If you pick out a really good shop, the price will be much higher
