    Stainless Valves

Thanks a bunch. Will use the originals that are good and replace the few that are marginal. Love the experience and knowledge on this site. Hope the Ford Barn goes on forever. God knows our kids will need somewhere to go if they want to play with what they own when I die.

New Project! '53 Mercury Monterey 2dr. Hardtop

Tip of the day, I bought a new 53 Merc hardtop Drove it 3 miles to a friends body shop to modify the hood and adapt 51 merc skirts. We found that the nose of a 49 51 ford hood will fit, when trimmed, directly into the revile where the big bird was. Made a super appearance. Loved that car. Had...

    Pinion Bearings

Are the 18-4621 Pinion bearings the same as the ones used in the open drive 46-48 pickups? My parts manual is a 1946 and doesn't seem to show which bearings fit the open drive rear end of the 46-48 pickups I think Henry used as many like parts as possible but this rear end is a bit different I...

    So sad!

My Lincoln Town Car was assembled in Canada with parts made in Mexico. Sure is "A FUR PIECE" from my first Lincoln, a 1958 Lincoln Continental Convertible. bill

    flathead tear down progress

Just finished a 50 teardown. Stuck pistons are a real pain in the butt. I tried to take out the crankshaft so I could get a better hammer swing to the pistons. The crank will not come out with just the rod caps and main caps removed. The angle of the cylinders puts the rods close together so...

    MIG Welding on my '40

I love my Miller Blue Box. I also use the 25 - 75 mix. There can not be anybody as in-experienced as me. I took a welding course at the local Tech School after I bought the Miller. That Helped but, the best training is Practice and more practice.
