thanks for the laundry list of things to check. I asked first because I DIDNT know where to start. I am brand new to model a's. if it was a snowmobile it would have been fixed by now. The trouble seemed to start last summer after a parade, it got hot and did the same thing. later it seemed ok...

went for a drive today and the model a lost power and was missing and backfiring. If i drove slow the problem was less. I have not checked the plugs yet or the compression but I plan to do both just not on sunday...Ive got enough problems with out working on sunday:)

I would like to get one of these quail radiator caps I see on some cars. can someone give me some guideance. do they fit like my regular bayonet style cap? is the guage style any better? I already have a temp gage. who is the best vendor to buy one from, thanks

I tend to be tool heavy. but is there a min tool list I should carry? what about changing tires is there a modern jack that is prefered? I would like to limit my tools to a mililatary canvas tool bag.

im getting loud rattle from the windshield if you press in the center of the window near the top it quits. any suggestions? my wife arm gets tired after a few minutes :)
