    Someone wasn't paying attention when they put that turtle back on. Maybe they changed the gearing for a tire size change. The case is stamped 21. Guess I'll find out when I remove it. Thanks for the great pictures, really helpful. And ditto on the work!

    Looks like you're wrong about that Ken. Check your FORD CHASSIS PARTS CATALOGUE - PG 328. Maybe your Ford didn't come with one, but mine did. 99a-7242 - Boot (gear shift lever to housing) Pass Deluxe-90 HP - 1939.
