I have had a few condensors fail on me whilst driving, the car just dies and wouldn't start again. I now always carry a spare one with me in the glove box just in case.

the beaded material looks like piping used on the edge of seats and the like, that piping only has a 3mm bead on it. you can buy piping cord and cover it in cotton for a similar look I guess.

you don't have to use GL1, you can use GL2 or GL3 or GL4 - anything apart from GL5 really.

could it be an earth problem? I find a lot of electrical faults can be traced back to a bad earth.

Kube I think you must be one of the few people about who is happy with raising the height of your car by changing the springs :)

That roadster looks lovely. I prefer whitewalls on it. I think they go with the darker paint and the light top. When I got my roadster I really struggled with changing it but decided any changes I made would be reversible and that in future if someone wanted to put it back to factory they...

we don't have NAPA in the UK... the Echlin IH-200 is a different style of condenser and wouldn't fit in the dizzy.

the cable is free with no strain on it, when removed from the speedo when driving along it whirrs around no problem at all. I have made a little video of the problem, you can see it on the link below. The issue doesn't happen all the time, it comes and goes...
