Howdy,
I bought a 1930 Coupe last summer that has been in Maine for a long time.
Am curious if the engine could be orig to the car.
It’s serial is: A3514922 & Star symbol.
The engine was rebuilt about 10 yrs ago.
TIA

Hi there,
I own a 1930 Coupe with engine #A3514922 w. a “star” symbol at end.
Is this the engine that came with this car?
And what does the “star” mean?

Hi All,
I have a 1930 Coupe with a fairly fresh engine.
It was apparently "really" gone thru.
Ungortunatly I did not get the paperwork re. this work when I got the car last summer.
And it's not available - I checked.
My question is: How can I tell if it's got a High Compression Head - will a...
Which plug is better Champion or Autolite?
Also which number plug?
Also is there any real advantage to using the "Show Plugs" sold by Sneider's or Bratton's?

Thank you All for your reply'!
I understand that over half the A's on the road have no shocks.
I am a very careful driver and avoid rough roads (and RR tracks at any speed).
I think I'll eventually install orig. equipment shocks.
I understand there is a guy in Colo who rebuilds them.
Anyone have...
Hi All,
I have a 1930 Coupe that I drive a fair amount.
It has No Shocks.
I try and keep the tire pressure @ 35psi.
I plan on putting shocks on her as soon as I can afford it.
In the mean while should I be greasing the leaf springs as they are working extra hard now?
She is a handful right now...
When driving yesterday, pushed in clutch to downshift and clutch pedal went to the floor and stayed right there!
Any idea's on what broke - recoil spring??
How do I repair?
Thanks,

Hi there I had a similar problem with my 30 Coupe.
Turned out to be a bad cable for the ignition switch to the dist.
Must have had a break in it somewhere - it was intermittent.
Drove us crazy for awhile.
Good luck ... Chris
Howdy,
Looking for some more "affordable" way to put orig shocks back into my 1930 coupe.
Good used or rebuild-able (w. arms would be preferred) .
