I'm looking to put gas struts on my 46 hood. Has anyone done this and if so where did you mount them? A photo would help.

My first car was a 1948 Buick that my dad got from free from a coworker at his work. I sold that car for $40 and bought a 29 Ford two door. I traded it for a 32 3 window coupe.

Ford bumpers will not work as they have 4 holes to mount the bumper to the brackets which includes the uprights but the Mercury bumper has a total of 6 holes, 2 for the mounting brackets and one hole for the upright. See photos. The bumper needs new chrome and I do not have the uprights but it...
