OK, I've read Les' book and searched all the threads, and still don't understand how to raise the brush. I can get hold of it with my fingers and move it 1/8 inch or so horizontally, but can't get any vertical movement. I was reading about 8 amps during daytime at normal driving conditions...

Looking to trade a pre-28 spark plug/cylinder head wrench with the 3/4 inch thick hex end for a post-28 Model A spark plug/cylinder head wrench with the 9/16 inch thick hex end. Also, trade pre 2/28 pliers with the 1 1/4 inch wide jaws for post 2/28 pliers with the 1 1/8 inch wide jaws...
